United Building Service Mechanical (UBS Mechanical) is a fully licensed and insured C-20 & C-36 contractor that has been serving the Sacramento Valley since 1989. In 2005, after working with the founder of the company for 13 years as a general manager, Phil Hinkel bought the company and moved our office to West Sacramento where we currently operate out of. We have low turnover with our technician team who have over 78 years of experience, collectively. Our UBS technician team is trained and certified by most manufacturers to install and service various types of HVAC equipment.

We are very diverse with the properties we service that includes hotels, multi-family apartments, senior housing and apartments, shopping centers, warehouses, restaurants and more. We have also been working with local government agencies with programs such as ERP and Seniors Helping Seniors. Our day can consist of installing a ductless mini split system in a server room to changing a gas valve at someone’s home. Our service technicians have gained valuable experience over the years and we pride ourselves on solving problems that our competitors cannot fix.

In our 35 years, we have serviced and replaced; condensing units, furnaces, air handlers, rooftop package units, evaporative coolers, ductless mini splits, control valves, zone systems, heat exchangers, wall furnaces, redesigned ductwork, whole house fans, exhaust fans, water heaters, heat pump systems, cooling  towers and chillers. Our technicians are even crossed trained to handle small electrical issues to plumbing problems.
