HVAC theft control

Many property managers, homeowners and real estate agents have been hit with the rising epidemic of copper theft and usually the number one target is air conditioning units and the copper condensate lines that come with them. There is light at the end of the tunnel and many manufacturers are coming up with inventive ideas to prevent thieves from costing you thousands of dollars. One of these new products is called ACAL-Shark that is an actual alarm that has a siren if the unit is moved or the pressure of the system falls below 5psi. Many suppliers of equipment have started selling cages that will fit the existing air conditioning units which is locked and make it real tough for the thief to even get close to the equipment. Stickers that cannot be removed can be installed on condensate lines every few inches to prevent anyone from turning the copper in at a recycling center. As the “battle” continues over this metal you can always call us 372-8484 for options on how to protect your HVAC equipment.
